Gerry Behan | Global President & CEO

Appointed: 13 May 2008. Gerry has over 30 years' experience in the Group and has extensive knowledge of the global food and beverage industry. He has a wealth of business leadership experience, financial and operational expertise and brings a strategic mindset in the advancement of Kerry’s leading taste and nutrition capabilities and unique positioning. Gerry joined Kerry’s graduate programme in 1986 and has held a number of senior financial and business management roles, primarily in the Americas region, including regional Chief Operating Officer and regional Chief Executive Officer. He was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Kerry’s Global Taste & Nutrition business in 2011.

Gerry has served as an Executive Director on the Board for 13 years.





Thomas Hahlin Ahlinder | President and CEO Kerry Europe & Russia

Thomas joined Kerry in 2021 as President and CEO for Europe & Russia region. He brings over 20 years of commercial leadership experience and industry knowledge. Prior to joining Kerry, he held several senior roles with Danisco, Kivik Holdings and DuPont Nutrition and Health, with his most recent role as an Executive Board Member at Döhler GmbH.

As the President & CEO for Kerry Europe & Russia, Thomas is charged with driving our Taste & Nutrition strategy and grow our business in the markets and channels across the Ireland, United Kingdom and Mainland Europe & Russia.

Thomas brings with him a passion for placing the customer at the heart of everything an organisation does, and a passion for people; inspiring, challenging and motivating his teams to perform at their very best.





Alan Barrett | Global Chief Operating Officer

Alan joined Kerry’s Graduate Programme in 2000, working in the finance function in Europe. He has since held a number of senior leadership roles and, in 2018, was promoted to Kerry’s Global Chief Operating Officer. In this role, Alan has strategic leadership responsibility for our end-to-end supply chain functions, namely quality, safety, health and environment (QSHE), manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, customer care and procurement. He helps shape our organizational direction including delivering on growth ambitions, leading a capital investment strategy and embedding our Safety First, Quality Always commitments.

In 2004, Alan relocated to North America where he worked in a number of functional leadership roles prior to becoming Business Unit VP  for Finance & Supply Chain in 2010. In 2012, Alan was named VP & General Manager of Lipids & Emulsifiers business for North America. In 2013, he relocated to Shanghai and took on the role of VP & General Manager of Kerry Ingredients and Flavors in China.  He was subsequently appointed COO of our Asia Pacific region in 2014, a position he held until his return to North America in 2018. During his time in the Asia Pacific region, Alan was accountable for the effective integration of a number of strategic business acquisitions. In tandem with this, Alan led out the development of our regional organizational structure, building high-performing, culturally diverse and highly-engaged teams.





John Cahalane | President & CEO, Kerry Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa (APMEA)

John joined Kerry in 2002 from Deloitte Ireland, where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant and has held several leadership positions over his 18 years at Kerry. Most recently John has been promoted to President & CEO, Kerry Asia, Middle East and Africa. In this capacity, John is responsible for leading strategic growth for the APMEA region.

Earlier in his career, John spent three years in the US in Operations and Commercial Finance roles before he was transferred to Mexico as Commercial Finance Manager in 2005. He was later appointed Chief Operating Officer and held several General Management roles, culminating in John leading the business as President & CEO for Latin America. Prior to current role, John relocated to Ireland where he was appointed Global Project Director - Commercial Value Realization. John graduated from University College Cork and speaks English and Spanish.





Neil Cracknell | Global President & CEO, Applied Health and Nutrition

Neil joined Kerry in 2017 as Global President & CEO of the Applied Health and Nutrition division. Prior to joining Kerry, he held executive positions within the food and beverage industry, including at Sensient Technologies and Golden State Foods Corporation, a leading manufacturer and distributor for the global QSR industry. As the global executive for Applied Health and Nutrition at Kerry, Neil is charged with driving and managing rapid growth within the functional and active ingredients portfolio of technologies. From the company’s North America headquarters, he leads a worldwide team focused on delivering solutions that respond to key consumer trends, both global and regional.

Throughout his career, Neil has developed and executed successful business growth strategies in global technical marketplaces, driving transformational change and building high performance teams by identifying and nurturing talent. He served as Chief Operating Officer of Golden State Foods Corporation and, while at Sensient Technologies, served as Chief Operating Officer. This came after serving for two years as Sensient’s President of the Flavours and Fragrances Group and five years as President of the Dehydrated Products Division. Neil holds an MBA from the University of Bath; he earned his undergraduate degree from Loughborough University.





Mike Gransee | Global Chief Procurement & Risk Management Officer

Mike is the Global Chief Procurement & Risk Management Officer for Kerry’s Taste & Nutrition business. Mike has 27 years of combined experience in accounting and procurement with Kerry, having served previously as Global Chief Financial & Risk Management Officer, Senior VP and CFO-Americas, VP Purchasing Americas and several other roles within operations and commercial accounting. Mike holds a BBA-Accounting from UW-Whitewater and an EMBA from UW-Madison.





Marcelo Marques | President & CEO, Kerry LATAM

Marcelo first joined Kerry in 1998 as part of the commercial team for strategic customers in Brazil. He then moved into the Meat division with a series of roles over several years, including Meat and Savoury BU Director. At the end of 2007 he took the opportunity to join a privately held Brazilian food and beverage group, focusing on the startup of a microencapsulated and nanotechnology ingredient business, and the optimization of the business model of a beverage-based business in Manaus, Amazonia. Marcelo progressed into various commercial and management roles in Ultrapan Industria e Comercio Ltda, until he returned to Kerry in 2015 in the role of President, Meat and Foodservice for the LATAM region.

In June 2016 he was promoted to the role of General Manager & President for the Brazil & South Cone sub-regions. Marcelo commenced his current role as President & CEO, Kerry LATAM in October 2019. Marcelo holds a BSc in Food Engineering from University of Campinas (UNICAMP) and an MBA in Business Administration, from Fundacao Getulio Vargas (FGV), both located in Brazil. He speaks Portuguese as his native language, as well as Spanish and English.





Robert Phelan | Global Chief Strategy & Planning Officer

Robert joined Kerry in 2011 as Global Programme Director of the 1Kerry Transformation Programme. In that role he led the establishment of the KerryExcel Programme, implementing Kerry’s global operating model and driving savings and efficiencies.

Since then, Robert has held senior roles in strategy and marketing in our North America and our global Functional Actives & Ingredients Businesses. He led the development of the Nutrition Discovery Centre in our Global Technology and Innovation Centre in Naas and the Taste and Nutrition Discovery Center in our North America headquarters in Beloit, Wisconsin. Robert was named Global Chief Strategy & Planning Officer in 2017.

Prior to joining Kerry, Robert worked as a management consultant for almost six years with McKinsey & Company based in London and Dublin. He also held several leadership positions in the energy and telecom sectors with Shell and KPN/TNO while living in the Netherlands. Robert holds a PhD in physics from Trinity College, Dublin.





John Savage | President & CEO of Taste

John joined Kerry in 1997, after graduating from Queens University Belfast. Since then he’s held leadership positions across a number of Kerry lines of business. Most recently, John was named President & CEO of Taste. John brings extensive experience to the role, drawing upon his progressive business leadership roles, both in North America and Europe, coupled with his recent experience leading developing markets as President & CEO of Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa.

Prior to this promotion, John held several executive roles with Kerry. In 2002 he was appointed Divisional Financial Controller for Kerry Foods. Two years later, John relocated to the U.S. to serve as Vice President of Finance Flavours. Following his successes in that role, he was named General Manager of Natural Products. In 2012, John moved back to Ireland to take on the position of President of Beverage & LETS. He was again promoted, after four years in that role, this time to President of Taste, Dairy & Culinary of Kerry Europe.





Malcolm Sheil | Global Chief Commercial Officer

Malcolm joined Kerry as a graduate accountant from Dublin City University in 1988. He spent three years in the U.S. as Plant Controller and Corporate Commercial Controller before his promotion to Finance Director for Kerry Mexico and then to Finance Director for Kerry South America in 1998. In 2003, Malcolm was appointed President of Kerry’s LATAM business and served in that role for 13 years. He returned to Ireland in 2016 after being appointed President & CEO of Kerry’s EMEA region and in 2020 Malcolm was appointed to the role of Chief Commercial Officer.

Malcolm speaks English, Spanish and Portuguese and believes strongly that to understand consumer demand in a region, one must to delve into the culture and be truly able to bring local insight to our customers.
