A popular QSR chain wanted to expand their menu offerings and bring extra interest and value to their French fries, one of the chain’s side item staples. They came to Kerry with the idea of moving away from fries served with a ketchup chase to something more novel, such as loaded fries inspired by the Canadian favorite poutine or topped with other menu items such as queso, chili or mac and cheese. The chain had tight timelines for these limited time offer (LTO) fries and needed a partner who could deliver off-the-shelf market-relevant products.
Kerry's sales and culinary teams made a joint presentation to the customer, highlighting how Kerry’s Kettle Collection portfolio of market-ready flavors could be applied to the company’s French fry platform. Using these flavors, Kerry chefs created a scalable sampling of loaded fries that delivered unexpected toppings. The customer was impressed that the Kettle Collection portfolio allowed for the creation of unique and indulgent flavor profiles while solving their need for versatile and consistent chef-quality products. The QSR ultimately decided on two Kerry-devised loaded French fry offerings that featured consumer-driven flavors and high-quality ingredients.
Kerry was able to deliver a market-ready versatile solution that not only met consumer demand for indulgent and interesting flavors. but also met the quick turn-around time required for a LTO.
